Laura Davies Tilley

Geographic Area Researcher

Margaret R. (Peggy) Jenks

Margaret R. (Peggy) Jenks does in-depth research about people and subjects all around the Poultney area. For The Valiant Thirteen, her book The Women and Children of Poultney, Rutland County, Vermont Fleeing Burgoyne's Forces 6 July 1777 was especially helpful. She also a personal tie to The Valiant Thirteen books, because her children are descendants of Lydia Stearns Marshall. Her help has been invaluable and she shared her knowledge, research, information (including a letter from Lydia Marshall’s grandson), support, and intuition generously, adding even greater joy to my writing.
